Colliers Wood Little League

Colliers Wood Little League Football will be restarting on Saturday 20 September.

As ever, we are always looking for new volunteers. If you fancy getting involved, do speak to Rob, or to Peter on the tea stall. In particular, we'd love help cooking food as Agnes, our regular chef, has retired to focus on her GCSEs.

Big thanks to everyone who made donations to the Crowdfunder for refurbishing the changing rooms. You'll notice some big changes there including an accessible toilet and much improved storage space. There is still work to be done including repainting the outside. Watch this space.

Football matches are played from September to April between 9.00am and 1.30pm on Saturday mornings on Colliers Wood Recreation Ground. Please see below to find the timings for each age group. If you'd like your son or daughter to join, click the sign-up link above and come along.

We emphasise enjoyment, team spirit and sportsmanship.

kickoff times:

9am - Year 1/2 & Girls

10am - Year 3/4

11am - Year 5/6

Midday - Year 7/8

Girl Players

All girls are welcome to play at 9.00am with other girls, and/or with boys in their respective age group.

Football Kit

We have a Football Boot Library where you can borrow boots for free if you need them. We supply bibs and team shirts. All players must bring and wear shin pads.

Donations

There are no subscription fees to pay but annual voluntary donations to the club of £20 per player are very welcome and help with running costs. If you would like to make a donation of any amount, you can do so at the Tea and Coffee Stall or online here: https://pay.sumup.com/b2c/QC16GQI6

Volunteer

We are always in need of new volunteers to help set up the field, generally tidy up, pump balls, manage teams, referee games, coach the 9.00am sessions, and tidy away the equipment at the end. This year we are particularly in need of someone to help run the kitchen, making the bacon butties and hotdogs.

Little League is run by and for the local community and really does rely on the local community to make it the success it's been over the years. We welcome anyone who fancies giving any time they can on a Saturday morning. We know people don't like to commit, but it's the same for everyone and most volunteers just do what they can, when they are available. Volunteering for Colliers Wood Little League is really rewarding, plus there is a free orange jacket in it for you!
